Box Technologies produce a convenient EPoS Solution for SPAR

<p> Box Technologies, the UK’s leading provider of customer interface technology solutions, have been appointed by SPAR as their preferred hardware supplier. As a result Capper, one of six distribution companies for the SPAR chain utilized Box’s expertise to upgrade and develop their new EPoS system, within 400 stores nationwide.</p> <p> </p> <p> As Capper’s existing EPoS solution was being discontinued, Box Technologies produced a bespoke solution, providing an integrated retail hardware solution, which would take the clients retail technology in-store, to the next level.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p> Dave Dooley, Sales & Marketing Director at Box Technologies, said “Within the convenience store sector, footfall and length of time in store are crucial; by making the whole shopping experience a pleasant one for time-poor customers, who want to be able to shop quickly and easily, this provides opportunities for the retailer to maximize up sell opportunities, prompt return visits etc. The brief was to upgrade the existing customer interface hardware and software in the most visually appealing way, to provide a complete solution for their in-store retail technology, whilst ensuring efficiencies in-store for the customer, but also store personnel”.</p> <p> </p> <p> Having worked with SPAR since 2007, Capper briefed in Box Technologies - with the reassurance of working with the UK’s market leader in customer interface technology solutions, who would be able to develop a solution that would give them the technology they needed, married with an attractive layout, look and feel within their stores. Box Technologies pre sales consultancy and account Management team liaised with Capper to fault find the existing platform, identify key technical specifications and site audits in store and provide ongoing support, at every stage of the process both pre and post installation.</p> <p> </p> <p> The total solution provided by Box Technologies incorporated the Toshiba WILLPOS B10 modular EPoS system, including Scanners, Cash drawers, Printers and bespoke SpacePoles. The counters work around a modular configuration and other solutions were integrated as part of the total in-store solution.</p> <p> </p> <p> Mike Harris, Capper’s EPoS Manager said “As part of the roll out, 60 stores are already up and running with more to follow and the total solution provided by Box Technologies has proved to be a tremendous success. In fact, it’s been such a success that stores that don’t have it yet are constantly asking when their store will be receiving the new platform.</p> <p> </p> <p> Our operators love it because it’s high-tech yet user friendly. It looks good and it works. Thanks to Box, their maintenance costs have been reduced considerably as has the need for call outs.</p> <p> </p> <p> Box didn’t just come up with standard answers or stock solutions, they were incredibly flexible. They were prepared to think creatively, providing bespoke space poles as part of the system and they are a great success. Feedback has been excellent, with stores reporting increased and accelerated footfall”.</p>
